"you say my eyes are crazy eyes..."

is it possible for one to listen {and i mean listen} to Jane's Addiction's first record without drinking red wine? i say no. any Jane's Addiction for that matter.

COMMENTS

It depends on the interpretation of listen. Lyrically the stuff is pretty out there and I’m sure red wine can help foster some type of connection. Actually listening to the instrumentation is a bit easier. A connection can be had with a glass of water… or one Henry Weinhard’s Root Beer...

Can anyone else drum like Stephen Perkins?

The praying mantis from LA. I too fell to one knee in awe of the first album, the live EP.

Completely off topic but, does anyone know where Sartre wrote about "the God-sized hole"?

another off topic...Christian Kiefer is one seriously talented man. had no idea. Medicine Show, good album. makes me want to lie on a grassy lakeshore wrapped up in my friend's arms on a summer day, looking up together at figured clouds, soft breeze caressing our faces and playing the strings of our hair, damsel/dragon/butter-flies about. sweet bliss.

wishing to escape, even if just for a few minutes.

Brina: You're very sweet.

Summer: I've read a lot of Sartre, but can't quote anything from memory. Try Bartlett's? Actually, I can't even remember much about Sartre at all, which is a shame because I loved him once, lazy eye and all.
